Kahler is a surprising little treasure to be discovered in the municipality of Garnich.
Many buildings of this little picturesque village of Luxembourg have been transformed by a local artist and a group of his colleagues, into an open air art gallery or art museum.
Walk on foot with the children without taking a certain direction, it is better to just walk around the village without really following a certain path. You will start realizing that there are many buildings covered with beautiful graffiti and colors, you can let the children observe the different designs and speak about the notion of ‘urban art’. You can also exchange on what art means in our lives, how a simple building is beautified with art and what that makes us feel. The whole experience is very fun and educative. Do not forget to have a look also at the playground, I am sure the children will love to spend some time there. Kahler has also a movie theatre in case you would like to extend your visit. Do not forget to take lots of photos and tag #travelmatkanner on social media so more families can enjoy this little artistic treasure 🙂
