TravelmatKanner was at Chocolate Nation Museum Experience in Antwerp Belgium

There are undoubtly many nice family and children friendly activities and experiences in Antwerp and in Belgium in general.

Recently we visited the Chocolate Museum : Chocolate Nation which is the world’s largest Belgian chocolate museum in the world.

What is quite impressive about this museum is its innovative approach on Visitors’ experience: with the usage of technology and special effects, all visitors receive a very memorable experience, learning everyhing about chocolate and the way it is done it is inclusive for different type of learning styles ( some people learn better with images, other with thext etc). The playful part of the visit, where you can actually touch, try and even taste different types of chocolate is really great!

From the chocolate beans, to how the process of getting the cholocate in the different forms we know it, the history of the biggest chocolate makers of Belgium, the chocolate scultpures and their significance, the photos dedicated to chocolate and the shop with big variety make it a lovely visit for the families and the children. You will receive an audio guide, available in several languages as well.

The location is very central, just opposite Antwerp’s main Central train station, and there is even a metro station there.

At the entrance you will find also free lockers, where you just need to set up a code; at the end of your visit if you can not open the locker just ask at the friendly staff at the reception and they will help you.
